Love stories come in all shapes and sizes, but Ebony and Cameron’s journey is one for the modern romance books and I had the absolute honour of officiating their beautiful wedding as their Central Coast Marriage Celebrant.
Their story began in the digital world of Tinder, where a simple swipe right blossomed into something truly extraordinary. Ebony’s profile was refreshingly honest: “Fan me with a leaf and feed me fermented grapes.” Cameron’s charming reply? “Red or white grapes?” That playful exchange perfectly captured the essence of their relationship opposites who complement each other perfectly.
Their first date took place at the picturesque Haven in Terrigal, accompanied by Ebony’s beloved dog, Pepper a furry matchmaker who gave Cameron her seal of approval from the start (even sharing her side of the bed!). From that moment, their connection only grew deeper.
Over shared dinners, adventurous boat parties, and pub crawls with family, their love blossomed effortlessly. Cameron moved in with Ebony, embracing her indoor jungle of plants and even surviving the eight alarms she set every morning! Their shared passions for diving, brewery hopping, camping with Pepper, and travel adventures from New Zealand campervans to swimming with whale sharks in Western Australia have only strengthened their bond.
And then came the unforgettable proposal: after a long bike ride in Margaret River, Cameron asked Ebony to marry him. Sore legs and all, Ebony said yes that the best moments sometimes come after a little bit of hard work and a whole lot of love.
